About EpisodeRank.net

EpisodeRank.net solves a simple problem: when you discover a new podcast with hundreds of episodes, where do you start?

Most podcast apps sort episodes by date, not quality. This means the best, most talked-about episodes get buried under hundreds of newer ones. EpisodeRank.net fixes this by ranking episodes by popularity, so you always start with the content that matters most.

Our Mission

We believe every podcast listener deserves an easy way to find the best episodes. Whether you've just heard about The Joe Rogan Experience, want to try Crime Junkie for the first time, or are looking for the most popular Huberman Lab protocols — we help you start with the episodes millions of listeners already love.

What We Cover

We currently rank episodes for the 20 most popular podcasts across comedy, true crime, news, science, sports, self-help, and more. Each podcast page features a curated ranking of the top 50 episodes, complete with episode descriptions, publication dates, and direct links to listen.

How Rankings Work

Episodes are ranked by the EpisodeRank algorithm — a custom system that combines web sentiment analysis with audience data from public sources. Unlike simple play count rankings, our algorithm considers online discussion volume and cross-platform audience engagement to produce rankings that reflect true popularity.

Continuous Improvement

Rankings are periodically updated as new data becomes available. We are actively working on incorporating additional signals to make our rankings even more comprehensive, and our ranking weights may be adjusted as we validate additional data sources.

Independent & Unaffiliated

EpisodeRank.net is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, or any podcast network. All podcast content belongs to their respective creators.
